The Boston Celtics beat the Milwaukee Bucks 109-102 at TD Garden on Nov. 4, surviving a second-half collapse after leading by as many as 22 points, the Boston Herald reported.
Boston played without Jayson Tatum, who was rested. Paul George, who sat out a loss in Houston on Nov. 2, led the Celtics with 25 points, five assists and four steals, and hit a 3-pointer with 1:23 remaining that sealed the result. Derrick White added a season-high 24 points, seven assists and two blocks, and went 9-for-9 from the foul line. George and White accounted for 20 of Boston's 22 points in the fourth quarter.
Neemias Queta finished with nine points and 12 rebounds, and Baylor Scheierman added nine points and 11 rebounds. Mitchell Robinson grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds but shot 1-for-8. Payton Pritchard, who had 10 points, left late in the third quarter with what the team described as a right eye abrasion.
Tyler Herro scored 17 points in the third quarter as Milwaukee, which fell to 1-7, erased most of a 21-point deficit and briefly went ahead in the fourth.
The win moved Boston to 6-2. The team plays 12 of its 16 games in November on the road, including stops in Charlotte, Milwaukee and Philadelphia.
