The Boston Bruins lost 4-1 to the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center on October 29, their second consecutive defeat on a road trip that also included a loss to the Hurricanes in Carolina, the Boston Globe reported.

The result dropped Boston to 9-4-1 for the season and 4-3-1 in games away from TD Garden. The schedule turns friendlier from here: 12 of the team's next 14 games are at home.

James Hagens put the Bruins in front 5:28 into the game, redirecting a feed from Casey Mittelstadt, who had intercepted a clearing attempt by Blues goaltender Joel Hofer. As in the Carolina game, Boston's attack went quiet after taking an early lead.

Jimmy Snuggerud evened the score four seconds into a St. Louis power play. The Blues, who had been blanked in their two previous games, added second-period goals from Philip Broberg and Robert Thomas, and Jake Neighbours scored on the power play late in the third.

Jeremy Swayman made 14 saves for Boston; Hofer stopped 31 shots for St. Louis, which improved to 6-6-1 under coach Jim Montgomery.
