Boston College beat Georgia Tech 49-27 in Atlanta on October 24, overcoming an early 10-point deficit with 399 rushing yards, the Boston Herald reported in an Associated Press account.

Quarterback Mason McKenzie ran for 170 yards and two touchdowns and threw for another, while running back Bo MacCormack III added 155 yards and three scores. The Eagles finished with 500 total yards despite missing a field goal and two extra points, and despite the loss of running back Evan Dickens, reported out for the season with a knee injury suffered in a win over Pittsburgh.

Cornerback Charlie Comella intercepted Georgia Tech quarterback Alberto Mendoza twice in the second half, returning the second 55 yards for a touchdown. Boston College scored on its first two possessions after halftime after trailing 13-12 at the break.

"We just kept calling the same couple of plays over and over," McKenzie said.

The Eagles are 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, already double their win total from a 2-10 season a year earlier and two victories from bowl eligibility. Georgia Tech fell to 2-5, 1-3 in the conference. Boston College plays at Duke on October 31.
