The New England Patriots lost 30-24 to the Chicago Bears in Chicago, falling to 4-3 after Week 7, the Boston Herald reported on October 23.

The only giveaway of the night came from the Patriots. Quarterback Drake Maye was intercepted in the end zone by Bears linebacker D'Marco Jackson during the second quarter as New England drove for points. Maye otherwise completed 24 passes on 31 attempts for 321 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for a 7-yard score. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, selected alongside Maye in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, completed 22 of 33 throws for 308 yards and two touchdowns without a turnover. Each quarterback was sacked twice.

Chicago scored on four consecutive possessions through the middle of the game. New England pulled within six points on a 30-yard touchdown catch by rookie tight end Eli Raridon, but the offense punted on back-to-back later drives. Bears kicker Cairo Santos converted from 58 yards to effectively end it, and an onside attempt by punter Mitch Wishnowsky was recovered by Chicago receiver Rome Odunze.

Running back Rhamondre Stevenson caught five passes for 93 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown on the final play of the first half. Tight end Hunter Henry had seven receptions for 71 yards. The Patriots' offensive line was flagged four times.
