Boston-area stages and streets are filling with autumn programming over the weekend of Oct. 9-11, according to a WBUR arts roundup.

The Huntington Theatre is staging Aaron Sorkin's adaptation of Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird," directed by artistic director Loretta Greco. The version, which enlarges the roles of two Black characters and presents a less saintly Atticus Finch, has drawn debate. It plays through Nov. 8, with seats starting at $29.

At Old North Church on Oct. 9, storyteller Johnny Kinsman reads Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by candlelight with live accompaniment from Josiah Reibstein, Joe Kessler and Tev Stevig. Two performances are scheduled, and admission begins at $20. A separate 20-minute crypt tour covers 37 brick tombs.

The Emerson Colonial Theatre hosts Grand Kyiv Ballet's light-heavy take on "Swan Lake," with tickets from $47.58.

Somerville's volunteer-run HONK! Festival of activist street bands runs four days, ending with a parade from Davis Square to Harvard Square. In Salem, magician Evan Northrup performs a parlor show at the Salem Athenaeum on Oct. 10 and 11 for $30.
