Stop & Shop and Hannaford Sites Go Offline in Cyber Incident

Parent company Ahold Delhaize said it was addressing a "cybersecurity issue" affecting the supermarket chains' digital services.

By James Okafor

Websites and mobile apps for the supermarket chains Stop & Shop and Hannaford were offline on the morning of October 13 as their parent company, Ahold Delhaize, worked on what it called a "cybersecurity issue," WCVB reported.

The outage affected the digital platforms of both grocery brands, according to the station. Ahold Delhaize is the parent company of the two chains.

WCVB did not report when the online services would be restored.
