Marlborough Cleaning Firm Pushes Into Hartford, Providence Markets

Modular Concepts LLC, a family-owned commercial cleaning and facility maintenance firm based in Marlborough, said it extended its service area in 2026 into Hartford and New Haven in Connecticut and Providence and Cranston in Rhode Island, according to an announcement the company distributed through PR Newswire on Oct. 6, 2026.

The business, which has operated since 2008, employs more than 100 workers and covers accounts in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Its customers include corporate sites, health care buildings, schools and distribution facilities, and its work ranges from routine janitorial service to floor and carpet care, pressure washing, post-construction cleanup and licensed kitchen exhaust hood cleaning. The company said it does not require long-term contracts.

Modular Concepts also said it makes donations to each nonprofit client as well as to other organizations, listing recipients that include Wayside Youth & Family Support Network, the Natick Service Council, Camp Jabberwocky, the Community Foundation for MetroWest, UMass Memorial Health-Marlborough Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In the summer of 2026, it sponsored a 5K and family event in Marlborough held by Crossroads Continuum, a nonprofit serving families affected by autism since 2002.

"We do not donate to win business," owner Luiz DaCosta said in the release.
