NicholsMD, a dermatology practice in Greenwich, Connecticut, said on October 14, 2026 that it has begun offering Acorn Biolabs' YOU Secretome treatment through The Hair Lab, the hair and scalp service at its Greenwich flagship office, according to a company announcement distributed by PR Newswire.

Acorn Biolabs collects and banks a person's hair follicle cells in a non-surgical visit, then uses them to produce the secretome, which the company describes as a cell-free mix of exosomes, growth factors, peptides and proteins meant to support the scalp environment and hair renewal. Because it draws on the individual's own cells rather than donor material, Acorn classifies it as autologous. It is applied topically in aesthetic settings, and the company said it is working toward an approved injectable form.

The Hair Lab's other offerings include platelet-rich plasma, HydraScalp treatments, laser hair removal and at-home products, with consultations that can include scalp and follicle analysis.

"We know skincare is deeply personal, and hair care deserves that same thoughtful attention," said Kim Nichols, the board-certified dermatologist who founded the practice.

NicholsMD was founded in 2013 and operates three Fairfield County locations. Acorn founder and chief executive Drew Taylor, whose doctoral work on hair follicle stem cells underpins the product, visited the practice ahead of the launch.
