The Black Business Alliance is opening its new Connecticut headquarters at the Connecticut Post Mall in Milford, with a ribbon-cutting scheduled for 10 a.m. on October 14, Patch reported.

The city of Milford and the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce are marking the opening with the ceremony, according to the report. The space will house programs, business development services, networking events and community engagement activities, Patch reported.

In a statement cited by Patch, the chamber said the group gives Black business owners access to capital, resources and individualized guidance, and that its work centers on "closing the wealth gap and creating opportunities for Black entrepreneurs to prosper."

The Milford site serves as the alliance's state headquarters.
