BA Services, Inc. says on its website that it operates campgrounds, national forest recreation areas, state parks and state-highway rest areas under contracts spanning nine states, from Maine to Utah. The company describes its work at each site as covering guest services, facility maintenance, grounds management, safety, compliance, and in some cases retail and lodging operations.
New England holdings
In Maine, the company manages Canal Bridge Campground in Fryeburg, a 36-site property on the Saco River it operates under an agreement with the Town of Fryeburg, according to its website. The site includes a registration office, guest check-in, bathhouse cleaning, beach upkeep and nightly security patrols, the company says. In Rhode Island, BA Services runs Burlingame State Park in Charlestown, which its website describes as the state's largest campground, with 755 campsites and 20 cabins on Watchaug Pond. The company says its work there covers registration and reservations, cabin and campsite maintenance, and grounds and security operations.
Federal and state contracts elsewhere
Outside New England, the company holds concession agreements with the USDA Forest Service at Bankhead National Forest in Alabama, Hoosier National Forest in Indiana, and Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia, plus state park concessions at Meramec State Park and Washington State Park in Missouri and Yankee Springs Recreation Area in Michigan. BA Services also contracts with state transportation departments, managing two rest areas along the I-29 corridor near Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, and 28 rest areas across three regions of Utah. Those contracts cover janitorial service, grounds and infrastructure work, snow and ice removal, and utilities compliance, the company's website says.
Core service lines
Across its sites, BA Services lists campground and park maintenance, landscaping and groundskeeping, rest-area cleaning, and preventive maintenance and repairs as its main service categories. The company says it staffs its properties with trained personnel, handles revenue collection and administrative reporting at recreation sites, and manages lodging, dining and watercraft rentals at locations such as Meramec State Park. Its website states that visitors can book campsites, cabins and watercraft rentals directly through the company.
