Loon Mountain Pitches Fourth Peak On National Forest Land

The New Hampshire resort's proposed expansion would sit on a mix of private and federal land, much of it inside the White Mountain National Forest, WMUR reported.

Loon Mountain Resort has proposed developing a fourth peak, WMUR reported on October 7, 2026.

The land identified for the project is a combination of federal and private property, according to the station, with a large portion of it located inside the White Mountain National Forest.

WMUR did not detail a timeline or cost for the proposal in its report.

Loon Mountain is located in Lincoln, New Hampshire, in the state's White Mountains.
