Independent candidate Ken Block holds the biggest campaign bank account in the Rhode Island governor's race, according to disclosures filed with the state Board of Elections and reported by the Boston Globe.
Block has raised about $197,000 and loaned his campaign another $200,000 since joining the race in April 2026, leaving him with more than $263,000 in cash on hand. He avoided a costly primary.
Democrat Helena Foulkes brought in more than $529,000 between September 2 and October 5, counting donations and in-kind support from the state Democratic Party, but reported $215,000 on hand. Her campaign has spent more than $6.3 million on the race to date, the filings show. Her disclosure was submitted shortly before midnight on October 6.
Republican Aaron Guckian, who won his party's primary by a narrow margin in September 2026, raised less than $7,000 during the same period and reported just under $7,300 in his account.
The three candidates were scheduled to meet in their first live televised debate at 7 p.m. on Channel 10.
