Electric Wizard, an electrical contracting company based in Wakefield, New Hampshire, is owned by Drew Carbone, who holds a Master Electrician license and has spent 10 years working in the electrical trade, according to its website. Carbone said on the site that before starting the business he worked for another electrical company, where he was effectively running jobs on his own, and that the experience pushed him to build a company where he could serve customers his own way. He said the part of the work he enjoys most is seeing a finished job look good and run smoothly.
Panels, Generators and EV Chargers
The company's residential work covers tripped breakers, new outlets and lighting, along with panel and service upgrades for homes that have outgrown their existing capacity or need more power for a heat pump or EV charger, according to its website. For commercial clients, the site says the company plans installs around a business's operating hours, follows lockout/tagout procedures, and leaves behind labeled panels and updated drawings. Electric Wizard also sizes and installs standby generators based on a home's actual electrical load and installs electric vehicle chargers with attention to service capacity and charging speed, the website says. New construction and renovation wiring, carried from rough-in through final inspection, rounds out its listed services.
Working the Lakes Region and Beyond
Electric Wizard says it plans its work around conditions specific to the Lakes Region it serves, including freeze-thaw cycles, generator placement relative to snow paths, and the panel locations typical of local basements and garages. Its website names Sanbornville, East Wakefield, Union and the area around Route 16 as part of its core territory, along with seasonal camps near Lovell Lake and year-round homes near Province Lake. The company says it also takes on jobs farther out, naming Wolfeboro, Tuftonboro, Ossipee, Alton and Rochester as New Hampshire towns it covers, plus North Berwick just over the Maine line.
