Big Boy Trucking LLC, a family-run hauling outfit based in Dayton, Maine, says on its website that it moves and removes construction materials for contractors, municipalities and property owners around southern Maine, running what it calls a heavy-duty fleet of dump trucks and support equipment.
Materials by the truckload
Gravel, asphalt, stone, loam, fill and sand are among the loads the company hauls in or out of a job site, according to its website. Big Boy Trucking also sells gravel and aggregate on its own, listing crushed stone and bulk aggregate supply for jobs of any size, and it says it can deliver the same day on some orders. The company presents itself as equipped for both small residential drop-offs, such as a load of fill for a new driveway, and much larger commercial orders.
Winter work and site cleanup
When the building season slows, the company shifts toward snow hauling and winter removal for commercial lots and roadside snow, work it describes as suited to tough Maine winters. It also runs site cleanup and dump runs, clearing away post-construction debris and recycled asphalt so a building project can keep moving. Big Boy Trucking says it will take on custom trucking jobs outside those categories as well, among them equipment transport and coordination across more than one site.
Municipal and commercial reach
The company's website describes large-scale hauling work for towns, municipal projects and commercial developments throughout York County. It says its trucks are built for the heaviest loads the region's job sites produce, and that a customer calling the office reaches the same people who will show up to do the work, rather than a dispatcher at a call center. Big Boy Trucking says it has built its client base among contractors, businesses, municipal buyers and homeowners across southern Maine over a period its website describes only as years of steady work.
